Donald Trump says he will only take $1 per year for his presidential term, something that the law dictates.

000 Salary Being Turned Down 8Come one, come all and hear what the news have to say about Trump and his view on his salary. Once he became president everyone started to fear for the U.S.’s economy.

Trump’s Salary… To Be Continued?

Within his first televised interview as president-elect, Trump made a shocking announcement. Maybe one, nobody would have expected him to say.

On Sunday, throughout Lesley Stahl’s 60 Minutes the entire nation was able to find out a different side of Trump.

Apparently, Donald Trump declared his intention of refusing the salary as president.

Isn’t it a bit shocking?

Overall, from his statements we can understand that only $1 per year is enough.

“Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a — I don’t even know what it is.”

Stahl’s surprise was so great that he could’t help but state an obvious fact:

“[That’s] $400,000 you’re giving up.”

Where is this all coming from? Does Trump know something we don’t? Nevertheless, his answer was not late to come:

“No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.”

A Hidden Reason?

But the question to our mind now is, if Trump does not wish to receive a salary then where does he get his income from?

In 2015, the analysis shows that Trumps’ income is estimated to be around $557 million.

He does not fear America. And for this reason, a few days later he started a Twitter Q&A in which he encouraged the people to ask as many questions as possible.

And this is how the question about his pay came into discussion.

“Will you forgo the presidential salary if elected?”

President Trump did not fail to respond by confirming, yet again that he would surely refuse the salary.

“As far as the salary is concerned — I won’t take even $1,” said Trump. I am totally giving up my salary if I become president.”

The curiosity was too much to take in. Forbes’ investigation from September revealed Trump’s wealth has gone down $800 million from what he had a year ago.

Another president in American history that chose to turn down their salary. This way, Trump follows in the footsteps of John F. Kennedy and Herbert Hoover.

And so, let’s wait and see what comes next. Changes are coming. Question is, what type of changes?
